According to breaking news no assault rifle was used and this was known from the beginning. There were four hand guns found in the school and the "assault rifle" was left in the trunk. If this is true, the focus of the media and politicians on assault rifles has all been a fraud.

As I understand it, those initial reports were incorrect. However, even if not true, assault weapons have been used in other massacres and must be banned.
