But there are laws against those guns in Chicago, so if laws work, then why in the hell is Chicago so full of guns? How are the gun crime rates in England?

There are so many guns in the US they are easily smuggled into Chicago. But isn't that illegal - isn't murder illegal as well. You miss the fact that it's criminals that use these guns for murder and they will always get them from somewhere. While you try to disarm the law abiding public you make things easier for criminals. Australia doesn't live next to a third world country that imports drugs, guns and people into their country illegally everyday.
