It's actually easy to see why they view guns that way. Liberals live in a world based on form over function. It's a large part of their mental makeup. Some might even say it is a form of mental illness because of the detachment from reality this view leads to. An old book I always enjoy revisiting discusses this idea in an interesting way. Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance. Unfortunately the book did not help me get the old CB350 back together ;o)
