BIG - they make 2/3 of their earnings in the 4th quarter, so it is a huge gamble, imo. I have checked out one of their stores once and they certainly aren't for me. The merchandise that I would buy is mostly cheaper in Walmart and Target. For some strange reason, we found Erdnuss Flips snacks really cheap in one of their stores and my wife bought them all. No other store had some. Maybe it is the rare bargain hunting element that keeps those stores alive. I can buy into the closeout element of TJX and Ross as you can really save money there, but the dollar store with one exception, I just don't get. FWIW, that exception is Daiso, the japanese dollar store.
