"Microsoft: 60 million Windows 8 licenses sold to date "

60 million in 2 months seems like a lot ("roughly in line with Windows 7 sales"), but it's not as good as 40 million in 1 month ("outpacing sales of Windows 7 at the same stage of its life"). Win8 sales deccelerated in Month 2 compared with Win7. And that has to be the case. Windows 8 has (will have) negligible adoption in the enterprise, whereas Windows 7 was a savior in the enterprise. There's no way Windows 8 can be expected to outsell Windows 7, especially with a shrinking PC market (well, flat market compared with 2010).
