Pravin, The real reason Intel bought off Digital: currents.net; No! I don't think so at all. It was the copycat got caught. Don't forget that Intel is a very tough negociator even to DEC. Alpha and StrongArm Chips were put in the deal to save Intel's face. It also proved that DEC was under extreme pressures to come to such a lousy deal. Don't forget that Intel is a shameless copycat.
