Eric,
Even with actual evidence (canada) a registry would be another bloated government boondoggle and no practical use to police you continue this line of thinking.
I can buy the arguments of impracticality, but when people start talking as if democracy hinges on the unrestricted right to bear arms, that's when my loon radar starts going off.
