Are you denying you are for more, larger and more intrusive government?> Two points... I'll take the second first: 2.) I am for MORE government in some cases, less government in others... further, I think you should speak of WHAT government... for example local or federal? I think localities probably have much wider latitude for "government" than federally for example... like what they want to do with their property regulations: water quality/drilling/river uses/other things that affect the community. On the federal end I DON"T LIKE federally mandated health care except at a VERY minimal level like life saving very basic necessities for example... but I DO like clean air & water standards... things that can't possibly be regulated on local levels (factories pollute downstream, down air... interstate). 1.) Your first point is beside the point... saying "my ilk" (or point 2) has anything to do with Stalin is idiotic. <Once again we revert to Occam's Razor.> Occam's razor is a tool of science... you have to have a brain to use it. The following statement proves you don't have the capacity to use it, at least in this instance: <<There is no other obvious explanation, thus you appear to be an authoritarian socialist.>> So you think ANYONE who wants ANY (in any instance at any level) larger government (presumably than currently exists... you haven't really talked about how things currently stand and should theoretically stand) in any circumstance = Stalin & Musolini.... Based on the preceding paragraph my Occam's razor tells me that based on this massive leap, which is basically what seem to have you said in the previous post, in not so many words, is the reasoning of an ignorant fool at best...and possibly brain damaged.
