Paul,
Re -- they re-speced the K6 to a Vcc of 3.3 volts to get a better bin split at 233 MHz!

3.2 volts, 3.3 volts all the same to Jerry!!!

Paul, <What a HOOT! and What a FRAUD!> You probably should be the last person to yell "fraud" here. Judging from the recent book "Inside Intel", chapter 15, was not it you who conducted insurance fraud and perjury? By pointing out to "communists" who burned that Intel assembly plant when the true reason was plain electrical negligence?
Or in the case with refurbushed oven and insurance again? In how many other (unpublished) cases did you this fraud?

I was in hope that after the book publication, with such a fraudulent reputation, you will be gone forever from public forums, but I was mistaken.

In the best of your interests I would advise you to stop posting your hysterical groundless garbage and leave the AMD threads.

Ali.

P.S. If someone should need exact references from that book by Tim Jackson, I would gladly provide them:-)

Paul,

Re: "AMD couldn't solve their speed/design/process problems so they just cranked up the
voltage and generated a new DATA sheet!"

AMD's process problems appear to be much worse than even I originally
estimated. This really is a "brute force" way of solving their speed
binning problem and will also reduce chip lifetime/reliability. As I
am sure you are aware, the lifetimes reduce exponentially with applied
electric field. I wonder if Jerry is also increasing the amount of
thermal grease used ... he will also need more grease for the shareholders!!

Looks like the .35um process will be abandoned in favor of bringing up
the .25um process to "save" AMD's product line. This is a very high
risk play and could accelerate the money lost each quarter.

Make It So,
Yousef

Do you suppose this chip is what CPQ will use in notebooks, as announced today? What a hoot it would be if they all go up in flames, Powerbook-style.

Gary

re: - A FRAUD - and Sanders claimed the speed problem was solved BUT NEVER SAID the part was re-speced which was AMD's "solution".

So when are you launching your class action lawsuit?

Paul,
CPQ doesn't use INTC motherboards!!! Understand???

CPQ has its own integrtated system boards. Never, never, never worry about CPQ's quality endorsement for AMD-K6/233. It doesn't matter with 3.3V, if you choose correct motherboards. The motherboard has different jumpers to handle the different voltages, UNDERSTAND??? Good reliable motherboards are very important to CPUs, UNDERSTAND???
The quality endorsement of IBM, CPQ, HWP, and ACER for AMD's processors can tell you everything. You think you know better than the experts of IBM, CPQ, HWP and ACER, eh? Do you think they are stupid, like you do(big mouth), and they even didn't test on lab? If you post news and information, I will not say anything. But you are too far!!!

THE MORE WE POST, THE MORE WE KNOW THE FACT - WHO IS UGLY.

Best wishes

James
