In addition to Rockwood, where an obvious case can be made for a bid, following their failed bid for Talison, one has to consider FMC a possible buyer of CLQ. Their attempt to expand production has gone, um, swimmingly... but in the literal sense, which is not good for a brine producer. The problem will not go away for them this year. They've had to buy lithium carbonate in the open market to satisfy their customers, so why not buy it wholesale?
