However, I see it differently.........I don't think the ship has sailed.......instead I see it as a policy battle much like freeing the slaves or getting women the right to vote. I expect it to take a long time to accomplish but it will get accomplished. What do you believe will get accomplished? The number of guns in this culture will be reduced over time and gun violence will diminish. That's the goal.

What do you believe will get accomplished? There is a puzzling skepticism in your posts. Do you not believe that obtaining a gun should be a little more difficult? That private sales should be controlled? Do you not believe that over time we can cultivate a cultural awareness that leads to changing attitudes towards guns? We can't do that without a constant and ongoing national debate and some new laws frankly. This battle is not lost...we can't solve every problem out there, but we can certainly make things better. Don't you agree with that much? Al
