Rand,

there has been a notion put forth that anyone who trades has motives less than pure, and some people even question the ethics of trading.
What you are doing is a form of trading... how do you decrease your risk if the stock doesn't double?

I'll trade a stock whether I'm negative or positive the fundamentals. I'm very high on chip, but I trade it like crazy, and everyone knows it.
I have a bad opinion of IPM, but will still trade it if I think it's going to go up. A stock is a piece of paper that people will pay for... a company is any entirely different thing.

one thing I've come to understand lately is that those who don't trade cannot comprehend what these people are doing, buying, selling, rebuying, talking about charts and indicators, etc!<g> sometimes the only explanation one can come up with is the person is trying to manipulte the stock. Traders, on the other hand, have a hard time understanding how people can hold a falling stock... it goes against everything they know... so i've become a little more tolerant of the name calling and insinuations around here. If anyone wants to know more about trading, I'm glad to share what I know, and also point to more knowledgable people. If anyone thinks what I do is wrong, then
so be it.

well, i'm getting on my soapbox again!<g> i'll shut up now!

best,
kim
