Changing the fun people style and character is indeed a bad sign. There's absolutely nothing distinctive about it. It has no stylistic personality. Regardless of the direction that Craig chooses, he should have kept the fun people.

This change actually seems to be totally gratuitous.

Anybody here ever hear of Suite 101? They kicked out their message boards, deleted all content and now are almost unknown as a website.

I don't remember ever seeing it show up on a search except to old posts (many on Kirk Lindstrom's were excellent and informative) that are no longer there -- so it kicks you to current underpaid, useless article writers.
