This change actually seems to be totally gratuitous. And - bring on the ominous music - indicative of the "New SI Coke" direction. I mean, OK, picture yourself, the New King of SI... What are you going to do, FIRST? Change the logo from Coke to Kofola? Sigh.

I run SI with the Fun People turned off, as it saves space, even when Brad owned it I never used the icons, I like my extra room I save.

Changing the fun people style and character is indeed a bad sign. I think Brad kept the copyright on the graphic so he can use it again when he has to buy the place back again.
