My point is,
I was responding to your simplistic scolding when you wrote the following:

>>>
We've been lucky that the site has had such benevolent owners all of these years.<<<

Benevolence my backside.

Brad is a grownup. He made the decision to opt for buying back SI based upon the non-intrinsic pay motivation he expressed at the time he purchased bought it back, and revived it. Now that non-intrinsic pay / balancing benefit no longer exists.

Benevolence had nothing to do with it. Nor do I expect in any real world terms "benevolence" on the part of the new honco.

BTW, that wasn't a lecture. It was an explanation of "how the world works when you think someone is being benevolent and couldn't be more mistaken".....

As I said in my reply to Brad...if he wanted money and didn't ask for it, that is on him.

Him running out of his patience at the "non-intrinsic pay not being enough reason anymore to own SI, is NOT to be laid at our feet either. He sold. He pocketed INTRINSIC PAY. And we don't have to like it, and get to call a Spade a Spade.
