Younger people using the iPhone don't pay for them, they get them from their parents. I don't want to be forking out $650 for top of the line iPhone for my kids when they take them out of the case and screw them up. I have never seen any of my kids friends using an Android product. Not a single one of them wants anything but the iPhone. Who wants to be the odd kid out that doesn't have Facetime?

iPhones need to be cooler - not cheaper
To me that suggests iOS is the place to focus - not the handset itself.
