The gross margins were 41.4% in the Mach quarter of 2011. They'll probably be around 40% this year.

Well above the March quarter projections this year. And your 40% for this year is well down, and just a guess well below guidance.

I'm thinking its a longer term margin decline, not a transitional issue.

Along the lines of what I expected except revenues. Thought they might be a little better than expected. Phones a little light but not by much and pads better than expected. I did mention that 50M phones was the expectation despite the fact most of the pro analysts were predicting less.

The pros seemed to call it about right. Basically not great not bad, but for Apple everyone expects them to kill.

Pros Rev = 54.7 Average and 54.15 Median vs 54.5 actual

Indi Rev = 58.5 Average and 58.3 Median

I suppose the market is having a hard time believing Apple can still destroy expectations.
