Well it looks like 10% is enough to tempt investors to come in. As for Apple missing... it didn't miss:

Rev
Pros = 54.7 average and 54.15 median VS 54.5 ACTUAL
Indi = 58.5 average and 58.3 median

Phones
Pros = 47.75 average and 48 median vs 47.8 ACTUAL slight beat
Indi = 52.27 average and 51 median

Margins
Pros = 38.4 average and 38.5 median VS 38.6 ACTUAL slight beat
Indi = 39. 1 average and 39 median

hit it right on the nose. APPLE DIDN'T MISS.

It didn't "miss" last quarter either. But that is our Apple. Absurd valuation compared to other companies that don't perform 1/5 as well. Absurd expectations missed.
Now as for whether Apple will bounce back like Google bounced, we will have to see. The next couple of weeks will tell.

Like most here last night was a bad night for me, but I have to tell myself to be happy I'm far ahead still. I think its natural to be unhappy I didn't make every penny I COULD have, its natural but unhealthy.

I think investors have a right to wonder whether a primarily hardware company like Apple can continue to dominate, its never been done before. This it really about future expectations.

In my heart I think they can. I think they made some mistakes, hopefully mistakes that can be rectified. I still have faith that Jobs set up a good team.

I don't think that will happen this quarter although I think they have a good chance of beating expectations this quarter mainly because the "I told you so crowd" has won on the stock price. The absurd expectations balloon has popped, hopefully for good.

But in my logical mind I wonder if the prejudice against Apple has won completely.

I think in the short run Apple will bounce back somewhat but for it to REALLY resume the advance Apple will have to have to beat next quarter and then introduce killer products the next quarter. They have to prove that they can still stay ahead. That is possible.

But I may have to become a trader now. There are some good coaches here, and I appreciate that.
