Wonder what the "bad news" is. Instead, that hint from Cook to not let rumors rule, is what some should take seriously. Apple did have some high level management power play problems. This is expected to happen within the first year of someone like Jobs' death. That management problem manifested itself in the "Maps" fiasco and not going after the ChInese market with gusto by not opening up enough stores in China.

I suppose these took Jim Cook away from what he does best which is Supply Chain. Now he has the time. He went to China and met with. China telecom, a positive move probably for the release of a cheaper IPhone there. I presume they are also looking at the next generation display technology. Not sure how their new manufacturing facility in Brazil is coming along. A good strategy to diversify their manufacturing across continents to insulate their supply chain from local events. And then iTV, which according to Jobs' biography will include his vision he formulated before his death.

So looks like AAPL will still keep its appointment to go to 800 plus albeit slower than what some analysts had "dreamed up." AAPL, I have seen does not follow technicals as mush as commodities do. I feel comfortable that they are not going the CSCO way, acquiring companies with cash. And the low cost iPhone seems to bee tracking the same release trajectory as iPad mini, which is deny it at first and then release it.

Just my two cents.
