Richard,

I certainly agree re the 'paid whore' comment... they are paid to promote the company, and to any ends. However, my problem is with those that put forth information, some of it certainly from the company, and it turns out to be a lie. There is no accountability there. Now on IPM we are hearing all sorts of stories re friendship and auric... and many proclaim to have gotten that info from the company, but in the end, the company isn't liable for anything. Maybe I'm just growning up a little... I always knew you could'nt put much value in statements like 'everything is just fine', but if a co. representative says something specific, I thought they had to stand behind it.

re trading... I too sense a certain something (I think it's bordering on strong dislike!<g>), but as I said before, I think what we do is just so foreign to people that don't trade, just as the idea of holding a stock you know is going down goes against the grain with you and I and other traders. I do work hard for the money I make trading... and I also don't buy the notion that if you hold through good times and bad, you'll somehow be rewarded. Mr. market doesn't give rewards for fidelity.

best,
kim
