First of all, we get these announcements CONSTANTLY and they often don't materialize. But the state concessions in this instance were extremely sensible imo. 500 jobs at extremely good pay for this state will make it worthwhile. I believe this was competently negotiated. But you are very confused if you think 525 jobs at $238K/job is in some way comparable to the "cost" of jobs so often cited related to federal stimulus. Two totally different things. These jobs will continue providing economic activity to the community on a long-term basis; "stimulus" jobs last as long as the stimulus money lasts and then it is over. This plant will easily return the investment; stimulus can NEVER return the "investment" (stimulus actually isn't "investment", it is consumption spending with little economic benefit). Just so you don't confuse the two.
