AAPL certainly was an over owned institutional darling but I can't quantify how much of an impact forced selling due to AAPL decline had on gold and miners but I would expect there are much greater forces at work. I would rank AAPL 's decline far down the list IMO. Hedge fund redemptions in general would have a far greater impact.

Thank you The link is ino.com Not saying that that was main reason but probably it started the selling avalanche, triggered stops etc. Today they are pounding right from the start : only GOLD is positive for the moment, NEM looks like it wants to go up but somebody is keeping it down. Don't even look at ABX, GG, and AEM . Speaking about AEM how low does it go------ $40 ??? Does somebody knows something about latest earnings, the rest of us DOES NOT KNOW ??? Looks like another bloodbath today and probably tomorrow to finish the week. I am scared to think what is going to happen when this WHOLE market is going to correct........2008 all over again. Congratulations to all of you who keep majority of funds in Cash , you will WIN at the end.... BIG TIME !!!
