But what happens if people don't want or need the extra features?
They use the Monitor from their old machine. Or, God forbid,
what if all the businesses start buying the $1800 machines
rather than the $2800 machines? What happens when they realize
that a workstation with a bunch of Ram, a big drive, and a 300 mhz Pentium II makes a perfectly fine server?

The point is that a 300 mhz machine at that low a price may change buying patterns in companies. Not to mention the global currency crisis that's going on.

Guys, when it comes to PCs, forget the japanese! They are getting their heads handed to them by the entrepreneurial PC makers like DELL and CPQ.
Aks Toshiba who sells the most laptops now!
My money is on the USA PC manufacturers!
