I am completely aware of the difference between workstations and servers. I am not saying that a Hospital is going to go and buy a $1200 workstation as a server. However, a small business serving a half dozen computers certainly might.

Come on, compare the typical workstation of today to a server of 3 years ago. Are you telling me that small business aren't buying a few workstations and using them as servers?

And besides, you're sidestepping the point. Everyone is fighting for the high end. I guarantee that all the Japanese companies are designing servers right now to try to leverage their currency advantage. It's just going to get worse.

Dell lowered their prices on their Optiplex systems today. Do you think they wanted to do that? People were saying that about Intel's lowering of prices and then the stock dropped 20%.
