I've read, over the years, a few books about Lucky, and it sounds like this guy sure was very good at words, to say the least... :) When I was young, i actually was very interested - and bullish. I remember - I think it was 1974 - salivating over an ad offering to sell a seat at the NYSE for 30K. Well, I didn't have 30K, and even if i did, probably nothing good would come of it. I wasn't ready. Thanks for the article, and of course for sharing your thoughts. You paint a very bright, positive picture. It occurs to me that, with all that shorter term sentiment being bullish, when it comes to the larger picture, there is certainly plenty of doom and gloom out there. People expect the US to be in trouble... the SS and Medicare to go bankrupt.... the Dollar to become worthless.... Etc. etc.
