hello haim, while we are deliberately having not much to do w/ the russians we are running into them more and more often here in hong kong, there in jakarta, and elsewhere in australia. they seem to be quite busy turning their paper money, borne of stuff they dug out of russia, into other stuff one can dig out of australia and indonesia.

the only reason we have half a chance in australia against the russians and mainland and other flavors of chinese is that my partners are aussies familiar with local ways and that we dare to pull triggers fast, push buttons certain, and flip switches even if we are only tentatively guessing.

the experience over the past 90 days was intense. we are not quite yet 'all-done' but should all go as planned we should be done w/i 2 weeks. only paper work for now. the hard work shall come after the paper work.

am now just starting w/ the lunar new year. the year is 4711 by official count.

we will not be celebrating all fifteen days and shall restrict ourselves to the 10 days.

have set up base camp here and started to work, albeit at tropical pace.

we (in-laws, mom, wife, and kids) do have mission to have jack diaper trained by end of holiday.

we shall be joined by our swiss german friends tomorrow, and their two kids plus mine should be good per annual koh samui tradition.

speaking of the russians they also seem to be all about on this island. they seem okay, and can even be friendly. my mama is talking with one of them now on the beach.

cheers, tj
