In the essay by Krugman we were discussing, he boils the debt issue down to one single issue and that is its all the fault of the GOP. My point was - and I thought I have explained this - is that democrats are also responsible, whether it is their ideologies pushing for safety nets that are unfunded or corporate welfare for their favorite corporation or farm subsidy. My old Senator couldn't find a spending program he wouldn't vote for if his life depended on it!! To say this isn't a part of the problem is just lunacy!.....Plus that Krugman can blame this all on GOP without even a hint that there may be other things such as cost of medical care and demographics is fundamentally dishonest! It ALL needs to be addressed.
