I believe he would be no better than clinton as president.

Totally agree!

IMO it doesn't matter if the person running is a republican or a democrat, both are more socially liberal than I like. The only republican I could support is one who declares his Conservatism. Conservatives can outrun and out think the best of them. They offer more creative and innovative solutions to our problems, including ideas that could appeal to all but the most socially liberal democrat.

What a Conservative adds to the mix is a desire to adhere to the basic tenets as described (in the simplest terms) in our Constitution. I know there are a lot of democrats who would like to trash the Constitution and start over using the European model as our guide, and I believe there are more than a few republicans who probably agree.

AFAIC, Conservatives are the only Americans who continually and forcefully demand we determine how we conduct ourselves based on the constraints of the Constitution. And unlike most modern politicians, they believe the Constitution and all within is mankind's best and only hope.

I couldn't agree more and even at my age, I would defend it with my life.

I must be one of those women who like Clinton even less than I do Obama, and that's saying something! We simply can NOT trust anything she says....

Remember, past performance usually indicates indicates future behavior....

I think, and sincerely hope, that we as Conservatives with some of the good Republican values, will be able to find, and appreciate, a candidate who holds those same values, as well as deal with the stresses of the Presidency.

One thing that Karl Rove said is something we MUST keep in our minds while seeking our candidate....and that is "this person MUST be electable...."

If we forget that part, and choose someone like Christine O'Donnell, we will be on the outside looking in.
