Margie Carranza, 47, and her mother, Emma Hernandez, 71, were the victims of "a tragic misinterpretation" by officers working under "incredible tension," said LAPD Chief Charlie Beck. Will civilians be allowed to use the same kind of excuse? shouldn't law enforcement be held to a higher standard, not lower? rhetorical questions, both.... Looks like they were going for headshots....before even identifying who was in the vehicle. Their training sucks at so many levels.
