Based on that statement, it seemed logical -- it was obviously the most compelling reason and one any American could understand. There were plenty of justifications for taking Saddam out; but they made the mistake of committing themselves to the most obvious one. Had Bill Clinton done the right thing and taken Saddam out, the Left would never have complained a bit.
