Is there anything that makes CS's situation any different than Asnd's situation 2 months ago. Lower than expected numbers and poor guidance by management. Asnd has been in the doldrums since with no real sign of recovering. Is CS different?? Will they come storming back or drift into oblivion??
P.S- This thread sure is a whole lot deader than the ASND thread.

I think that CS is already an acquisition candidate by ATT or more likely NYNEX. Why would any company want to wait for the price to go up?

Do you think it a coincidence that Mr. Reed (an X-NYNEX president) is now the CEO of CS???? And that he has an extensive telephone background. In addition he was the lead negotiator for the Bell Atlantic/NYNEX merger, a very difficult and many thought impossible merger! And that Bell Atlantic is now getting heavily into internet, cable, long distance, PCS, and video.

This guy is no lightweight and he knows where he is going. My guess is that he will aggressively seek a telephone company takeover of CS soon. Why? Read these for some help: seas.upenn.edu
