“Apocalypse does not point to a fiery Armageddon but to the fact that our ignorance and our complacency are coming to an end… The exclusivism of there being only one way in which we can be saved, the idea that there is a single religious group that is in sole possession of the truth—that is the world as we know it that must pass away. What is the kingdom? It lies in our realization of the ubiquity of the divine presence in our neighbors, in our enemies, in all of us.”
? Joseph Campbell, Thou Art That: Transforming Religious Metaphor

“People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances without own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.”
? Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth

“Shakespeare said that art is a mirror held up to nature. And that’s what it is. The nature is your nature, and all of these wonderful poetic images of mythology are referring to something in you. When your mind is trapped by the image out there so that you never make the reference to yourself, you have misread the image.

The inner world is the world of your requirements and your energies and your structure and your possibilities that meets the outer world. And the outer world is the field of your incarnation. That’s where you are. You’ve got to keep both going. As Novalis said, 'The seat of the soul is there where the inner and outer worlds meet.”
? Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth

“We're not on our journey to save the world but to save ourselves. But in doing that you save the world. The influence of a vital person vitalizes . “Where you stumble and fall, there you will find gold.”

“When you realize that eternity is right here now, that it is within your possibility to experience the eternity of your own truth and being, then you grasp the following: That which you are was never born and will never die. .

PBS was running the talks with Joe Campbell & Bill Moyers again last night, 25yrs & counting, still having the same powerful effect. Some 60mil people tuned into those talks years before & raised enough $$$ to keep public TV going for another 3yrs

You know, had never listened to this ID proponent Dr. Dembski but here he is in all his youthful glory in a 10part debate with Christopher Hitchens who is absolutely stunning . Not to poke fun but most all the way thru kept imagining Dembski with moose antlers, how this plaintive high pitch notes in his voice almost a dead ringer for Rocky's Bullwinkle as he postured verbally what appears as the most childish naivete povs, time after time.

About 6mins in Hitchens levels this childlike Dembski in talk #9, then finishes him off in the #10 segment . Chris reminds us all we are all only a couple of chromsomes away from being Chimpanzees ourselves and our creations of Gods & God are completely apropro of that still young early status.

Thats the problem in a nutshell, we give ourselves far too much credit for being advanced when the true state of affairs has been nothing short of a mess of fallen creatures, most of which is continuously repeating from the start.

It's no coincidence that you only post one side of the debate now is it? Craig's response reveals that Price is in fact an even bigger crackpot than you are. People who are really interested in investigating the truth will of course listen to the entire debate and make their own decisions based on the strength of the evidence. Hacks will just post and listen to the side they already want to be true.

"Robert Price is the perfect person (scholar) to expose, not only Craig's flawed arguments, but also his personal flaws!
It isn't only Craig's delusional pleading that bother me, but his dishonesty. His see-through arrogance and misplaced insults only serve? to make him even more of a despicable character."

Yes we all know that given the opportunity that you would kick WLC in the teeth and leave him to die. That's what atheists believe constitutes being "fair and decent and MODERN and CIVILIZED"

NO THANKS CREEP!
