I am curious as to what their book value is at this point. Looking at the December, 2011 numbers there appears to be $6.00 per share in stockholder equity with about $4.00 per share in current assets. If those numbers are close to that when the 2012 year end numbers are released then I would think that buying a stock at it's book value is a rather attractive situation despite how ugly the chart may appear.
I also see that the largest shareholder just bought 15,000,000 shares at $6.00 per share last month, increasing his position to over 30,000,000 shares.

The other thing that is intriguing to me is that Molibdenos Y Metales S.A. (out of Chile) is the company that has just increased their position to hold 30% of MCP's stock. If you look at Molibdenos' business you see that they engage in treating and processing molybdenum and related products worldwide. The company offers technical grade molybdic oxide powder and briquettes, and ferromolybdenum that are used as alloys in the production of steel and for the production of ferromolybdenum. One could speculate.........

How is debt a problem with this company if they have $418,000,000 in cash and equivalent plus $70,000,000 in net receivables...and only $196,000,000 in long term debt? Even with accounts payable of $175,000,000 their total liabilities are $409,895,000 which is less than their cash and accounts receivable combined. Obviously something has changed drastically in FY 2012 for their debt to be downgraded to CCC+.....
