The IBM MWave is another product that I avoid like the plague. In fact, my modem preference is an EXTERNAL modem through a serial port (has to be a high-speed serial port). I have a USRX/COMS Sportster Voice 56k, which I am generally very happy with. I used an MWave briefly, but had a lot of sofware compatability problems with it. One of the reasons that I like external modems is that they don't require ANY internal drivers, and NEVER use software processing.
