I know too well about the Mwave. Your thoughts on the external make sense. I never really considered an external...still thought you had to install drivers.

I had bought a USRX 28.8 internal modem a year back. Couldnt get it to work properly. Intermittent problems. Didint get any help. Finally gave up and got Motorola external bitsurfer. Havent had any problems since then. Still sitting with the USRX internal never used.
