I had purchased RAPT as a short term investment hoping for gains, but I guess I will have to see about that. Given the presence of newer entries especially Lucent, I don't think other companies would be now be interested in purchasing AXNT/RAPT to enter a mkt which has now attracted heavyweights. The market reaction to this deal is downright disheartening. But I must confess the merger with AXNT doesn't excite me as much as it would have if rapt was bought over by a bigger company(i.e at better price).

Poncho,

What is the current competive status of Raptor? I heard they were hot 9 months ago but now that I own axnt I see that checkpoint is the big firewall player. Why? Now Lucent. Is rapt's technology really ahead of these guys, and if so, why is chk pt so far ahead in marketshare?
