I hate the imperial president idea. I want my leaders to be just people- not fake cutouts of people, pretending they aren't people because some people want them to pretend that. Ick.

I don't want Caesar. I'll leave that to slavish republicans who seem to like imperialistic presidents (they didn't get anymore pretentious and plastic than the Reagans- Nancy's face always looked like it was stretched out of cheap plastic). I want real people.

Maybe it is generational. But I didn't think you were all that old.

Ultimately generational values are probably at work here for us here and our respective opinions, and as us geezers pass into the sunset your day in the sun will arrive if it hasn't already.

It is definitely not good form to attribute your values to me. Keep your values for yourself. You're not taking responsibility for your own values by blaming your "generation".
