Because of Obama’s detached and impersonal leadership style, no one in Congress fears him, and the Republicans who control the House are unlikely to roll over and do his bidding. However, if Obama digs in his heels, refuses to compromise and work with the Republicans, goes over the head of Congress and takes his case to the public through a kind of permanent campaign, and then, after all that, fails to get his agenda through Congress, this country is headed for a very dismal next four years.

It will be interesting to see how the "big dinner" turned out.

But one of the more unbelievable things to me is that the Republicans continue to be painted [successfully] as "the obstructionists" in this deal. There is obstruction going on but it is clearly on Obama's part, were anyone paying attention to it.

If a real hard core attack occurs during Obammys Admin and we need a quick smart decision on retaliatory strike or response, you aren't going to get it from the Community Organizer. We are very very very weak as a Nation right now, in leadership and financially and militarily. Our enemies know it.

I am often amused at how much interest the right expresses in the characteristics of the president and so little in the "mcconnell" doctrine, which has seen the GOP sacrifice the welfare of the country to the single minded goal of opposing said president at all costs.
