You don't share the republics views about minimum wage and contend that even 50 cents an hour is too much and will put many businesses out of the market??? Henry Ford, as you may recall, raised the salaries of all his employees reasoning that with more money, they would buy more cars. Conservatives believe that by not spending, the economy will boom....does that make sense ?

While Wal-Mart experienced February sales that were considered, “total disaster,” Costco’s earnings for the second quarter of the year climbed 39%. The New York Times reported, “Costco Wholesale’s net income for its second quarter climbed 39 percent as it pulled in more money from membership fees, sales improved and it recorded a large tax benefit.”

I don't expect you to understand, but there are good reasons why Costco is doing so well and Walmart is not.........and free markets don't have a lot to do with it. However, to understand, you will have to get past your ideology.
