*** 1 Stock 1 Week *** Update

Just when the competition was heating up top three is already locked
up. I have to commend WMTHouston for closing his position at the open
today cause CTAL lost some value today. Zakrosian's RMBS-short can
still squeeze itself to top three, being in close pursuit.
I'd be happy if my SMTC holds up above 5% gain.
Overall average turned positive which gives me hope.
Also this looks like the best of the series we have had so far with
4 over 10% and 2 between 5-10% gains. This is good.
One more day left to go, good luck.

Sorry, Sankar. I apologize and welcome you to this thread. I just could not resist because, Gary Ku, has been a very optimistic poster to this thread for a long time. Some of us were just wondering if he was missing in acton when I read your post with sentiments so similar to his, I could not resist a little good humored ribbing at your expense. Again, I am sorry because I do not know you yet. I hope you accept my apology.

It is just so much like Gary to see the silver lining in the worst of situations. For the six months or so that I have followed this stock, the analysts have been much quicker than us to predict APM's fall from grace. When the company was sanguine about the earnings estimates which led many of us to buy more, the professionals were downgrading APM and the funds were unloading.

As for what I think may be wishful thinking about leapfrogging to GMR, everyone seems to forget that byte for byte GMR costs twice as much as MR. GMR is only suitable for the bleeding edge of hdd technology, such as high performance portables. I realize costs can fall rapidly, but APM is hardly the innovator or leader in this MR & GMR area. Maybe they will jump directly to NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and blow everyone else away, but we should not our breath in the absence of any news.

I am out of APM, but hoping to see a turnaround. I cannot afford to invest on hope alone.

Waiting, watching and cracking jokes (sorry).
