Well, I know that you are a Libertarian, but I am not. I am a conservative, both fiscally and socially. That said, I haven't done much letter writing lately, so my hat's off to you for taking the time to do that.

As for your real estate choices -- sheer genius....but one thing comes to mind. Not everyone can simply "decide" to buy high-end property in Los Altos and have the means to do it. :)

Bob Brinker's Moneytalk is just a shadow of what it used to be. His major blunders have caused many to realize that his market-timing schtick works only some of the time. :)

Also, when Brinker decided to only broadcast one day a week, that hurt him. And a major blow came when KGO in San Francisco dropped the program altogether.

Additionally, he only does the show an average 3 weeks per month -- and most listeners do not care for his choice of fill-in hosts.

All that said, it is surprising that he continues to do the show at all. He's in his 70's now and must have reached "The Land of Critical Mass" many years ago.

I'm convinced that he continues to broadcast so he can keep the Bob Brinker name in the public eye -- to benefit his son who now sells a newsletter and uses the identical name on the internet.
