You are making exactly the mistake the right wing makes over and over and over. You say things you think are true, but social science knows are not true. If the right wing would study social and (hard) science a bit more and be more careful in their understanding of 'CAUSATION' they wouldn't make such huge mistakes every time they get into power! When most people watch Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity they can see the mistakes they are making. <<<< I agree the US is a violent country. Lack of opportunity, lack of education, lack of money, gangs, latchkey kids, single parent households, divorce, all contribute to the decline of Society.

We don't have a a lack of money, we have plenty of money it is just that the super rich have it all. The Republican's gave it to them. You really can't believe this. You do realize there are lots and lots of rich Dems, correct? Why don't they just give up their money and keep an amount you think is "reasonable?" It would be according to their beliefs and political views of what is "Right." I am very happy your children were successful. Not all have similar experiences and the statistics back that up. Gangs are based on racism? GMAB. Why would a 14 yr old and 17 yr old walk up to a woman, ask for money, then threaten to kill her kid, then kill her kid? Poverty? The gun? Lack of Education? Why are the North side of St Louis and Chicago nothing but killing fields? Racism? No, they are gang activities that are outside anything socially, morally or ethically acceptable. These people know better and are choosing to kill each other. Divorce helps prevent violence not enhance it. Pure fallacy.
