Those scrimshaw pieces are worth far more than $500/ea , that's gorgeous work & look like 10k pieces to me at least ? Reminds of Paul Gauguin and his island works & yes its that same narrow minded provincialism that is just opportunity for ignorant fools to rant & keep the stupidity meters running high. The beauty of the human torso was rediscovered in Rennaissance Italy in the incredibly lovely roman statuary, hard to call a religion the essence of life's truest meanings when always obsessed with covering things up with fig leaves & veils . And just at that time when there a real scientific study began to open up , new discoveries & a maturing of human povs.

There are two of the nations finest Law Schools (and the world) that dispensed with seperate sex bathrooms over 30 yrs ago , they don't play silly games on those levels , that can be a fellow woman student going pee pee in the next stall, so what?. This is one of the reasons they call it higher education and really a great influence on students from more taboo oriented cultures which they always take back with them and these are great modes of transcultural change you just dont see it happening. (If one is going to deal with reality, truth ,honor,decency & the study of rule of law , by that point you should be focussed, mature & wise enough to have moved beyond silly gender taboos that still give mullahs something to enforce , thats what they constructed but you see its all artificial ) Many foreign students that go on to become very influential back in the Islamic world always taking these opened up experiences back with them like Bandar Bush who studied at John Hopkins U back in 1977. There are realities of life & then there are the sily pretenses , serious reasons why Haliburton is also based in Qatar now. He represents now almost $1tril of investments here & also head of Saudi Intelligence corps , so evil is relative .
