Are you bracing for another surprise from CJ Roberts on DOMA? I have a feeling he is going to go with Ginsberg & Co. On this issue. The vote will be 6-3 in favor of gay marriage, I predict.

Donahue and Bill Moyers, the last honest men on national television, were the only two major TV news personalities who presented the viewpoints of those of us who challenged the rush to war in Iraq. General Electric and Microsoft—MSNBC’s founders and defense contractors that went on to make tremendous profits from the war—were not about to tolerate a dissenting voice. Donahue was fired, and at PBS Moyers was subjected to tremendous pressure. An internal MSNBC memo leaked to the press stated that Donahue was hurting the image of the network. He would be a “difficult public face for NBC in a time of war,” the memo read. Donahue never returned to the airwaves.

If the intent of the news is to shape public opinion, then you are right to be upset about what happened to Moyers and Donahue. However, if you believe news org are to present the news objectively, then both Moyers and Donahue did not have a place in the news media........at least not in the seats that Brian Williams and Diane Sawyer sit. I mean isn't that what we hate most about Fox News; that its desperately trying to shape the opinions of its viewers to the point where its willing to lie?

When it comes to the Iraq war, Americans allows themselves to be duped. Don't blame it on the media.........put the blame on where it belongs............Americans.
