That's very interesting. I know one Frenchman, a structural engineer who carries 45 pounds of camera equipment on mountain climbs. His lady friend, an American with dual French citizenship whom I've known since she was born, lives in France but returns here once a year. They might be a special case but I've heard of no such unhappiness from them. It follows that I don't agree with their politics but we don't talk about that.
