GPS is irrelevant these days as people have GPS built into their Cyberphones along with all mod cons, bells and whistles.

Not so. My iPhone GPS does not work if I'm out of cell range. It is not a true GPS. My Garmin eTrex goes with me everywhere.

Globalstar's phone was designed early this century but that's all that's available until the next round of design. But for the purpose of making voice calls, if in coverage, then it's better than Iridium and much better than Inmarsat.
