The county cited:

People 25 years of age or older with a high school degree or higher: 65.2%

When they had access to free education 1/3 didn't take full advantage. Doubtless they are the ones with the worst problems. I'm sure there were some with good reasons, but not the vast majority.

Why does the government ( really your and my money ) owe people retraining?
Real unemployment is higher than the Gov. numbers. Do we retrain people to keep
jobs from those actually putting forth the effort?

What ever happened to people being accountable for themselves?

Imho, we could give more to those in actual need if we could weed out those just taking advantage.

Spending money on the problem only makes sense to me in the form of making sure these people are
really disabled and cutting off those who are not.

My real thoughts:

If you only put forth enough effort in life to afford to live under a bridge, you are welcome to go through my garbage, but I don't owe you anything, and I don't care if the traffic keeps you awake at night.
