Roger, of course Cisco may be another company interested in ASND. I noticed that while ASND was rising, CSCO was falling during the takeover rumors this afternoon. Maybe some thought that CSCO may be the aquirer.

Heck, I'll pick up some shares and wait out till $40 like ASND seems to be doing.

Obviously it would be in Cisco's interest to see Ascend go
to the likes of Compaq or Intel. That way there would be
too much to integrate, and a lack of synergy. Ascend going
to Lucent or Nortel would create a more formidable competitor
for Cisco.
