Hey Tim,
At least yo0u didn't sell all those shares of ASND that you held since SEPT 3, watching it fall through oblivion, and buy 3500 shares of CS at 17 5/8, only to watch this unfold with ASND two days later. I too am very happy for everyone and still have 20 Jan 40 calls that i hope will end up worth something. So I hope ASND still keeps going UP UP UP. However, I am not sure what to do with my CS shares now if anyone wants to give a beaten guy a suggestion or two??

Tim, I've made bad calls too. Not your fault, you probably felt
something in the air but would have never imagined that it was
a positive reading eh? :o) It isn't over yet, but now I think
ASND is going to be more of a trader again, maybe ;).

I have a 50 posts to catch up and most of them I'm sure are to bash me, so enjoy here i come.

Not "most", but a goodly amount. I hope you have thick skin. It seems that a whole slew of people here who made bad investments have now confused blind luck with smarts. But I wouldn't feel too bad about your decision to sell yesterday. If you look at the Ascend chart up until today, just about any day was a fine day to sell Ascend (which is what I've recommended over on the USRX (now COMS/USR Ghost) thread since Feb. -G-

If it will make you feel any better Tim, I got rid of my 2.5k shares before you posted. I still have the other half and happy with the nice gain... this one I'll ride to wherever. I just had to get rid of my margin.

Tim,

Whatever thread I post on next, I hope you happen to be there as well.
Along with everyone else on the ASND thread for that matter.

Back to business. If the LU rumor is unfounded (again, I need to know whether the Bartolomo piece had some support of any nature whatsoever), that would not preclude another real deal that might be in the works.

An odd thought: What if a different non-LU deal were in the midst of being packaged for announcement on 12/11ish. Aware of it, some persons started buying calls. Aware of the activity, someone in the options pit says "It seems a deal may be in the works, must be LU," and then it snowballed from there. Stranger things have happened. But, clearly, pure speculation.

Frankly, I had been hoping for some kind of confirmation from management tomorrow, at least to the effect that talks were in progress. Given Ashby's comment late today, I don't see that happening. Note that this doesn't preclude acquisition activity, because the only company Ashby mentioned was LU. He did not even mention NT.
