I think it sad that in this country a piece of legislation containing that provision can become law without so much as a mention in the media. This is the first I have heard of it.

If I am a kid thinking about becoming a doctor, but can't quite cut the mustard or maybe can't afford it, I'm thinking: "why bother with all that training? I can become a NP with a fraction of the effort and earn what a doctor earns."
